This tomato variety was gifted to me by an older fellow I met at a Bluegrass festival way down in Kentucky. He had came up from Virginia and we got to talking about heirloom tomatoes and he told me he had a variety I just had to try He sent me the seeds for this one through the mail and I waited patiently to get them going that following spring. When they finally set ripe fruit on later that summer, I marveled at just how showy they were in their color, almost like a fluorescent red color that really catches the eye!

Sunset’s Red Horizon is a Russian heirloom tomato that has vibrant red fruits born on an indeterminate plant that produces abundantly. It’s Oxheart type fruits have a great tomato taste and are ready 65-80 days after planting.
