I first raised this variety in 2021 just out of curiosity, mostly because of the name. I was surprised to see how big they actually can get with a noticeable cleavage running right down the outside of the fruit. Not all the fruits will have such a defining feature, but I am only taking seeds off of the ones that exhibit it in order to develop the strain with superior genetics.

Not only is Monkey Ass an interesting conversation piece, it has a great flavor and makes for a good slicing or juicing tomato as well! Give it plenty of support, because they can get quite large.
